Superior Plus Produce Sliced Tomato and Steam Table Trays
Sonoco offers better protection and competitive pricing with Superior Plus produce sliced tomato and steam table trays. Designed with smooth, curved interior walls to reduce pressure points and channel fluids way from the fruit, Superior Plus trays keep produce fresh, flavorful and visually appealing. The sliced tomato tray will move up to 80mL of fluid away from the fruit, and the half steam table trays are available with an optional drain insert that keeps up to 250mL of fluid away from the fruit, maximizing shelf life. Strong, low temperature seals result in faster throughput on packing lines.
Superior Plus produce trays are available with low-density polyethylene (LDPE) or polypropylene (PP) seal surface in black, white and custom colors. Logos can be included for branding. Inserts for enhanced produce protection and freshness are also available.

Superior Plus Produce Steam Table Tray Inserts
Tray- The foundation of Sonoco’s enhanced produce system, the tray includes a sump area under the drain tray capable of holding more than 250 mL of liquid, a feature that helps keep fluid away from the fruit so it stays fresh and firm.
Trays can be laminated with polypropylene (PP) or low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and are available in black, white, clear and custom colors. Logos can be included in the tray design. - Drain Tray- Supported by a starburst pattern, the drain tray rests on the tray’s drain ribs and completely separates produce from collected liquid. This unique configuration does not add to stack height.
- Divided Insert- Cradling lines of sliced tomatoes or other fruits so they retain their shape and position within the tray, the divided insert delivers enhanced protection and helps to ensure optimum presentation of produce to the consumer, communicating quality and freshness.

Trays run on standard filling and wrapping equipment, and logos can be included in the design. The flat flange is ideal for heat-sealing materials.
